The origin story of Main Merch starts in the spring of 2005 in Roy Laniado dorm room at New York University. Roy is the creator and president of Main Merch. Roy came into a few items that he had sold while working at his father business, Bargain Beachware, one afternoon when perusing eBay. Roy determined that it would be worthwhile to attempt selling things online himself after seeing that these items were selling for a somewhat higher price. Following his first purchase from Bargain Beachware, Roy started his own eBay personal seller business.
