Our firm was founded in November 1972 with the goal of creating jobs and stimulating the local economy in Mazatlan. El Cid was opened by its founder and chairman of the board, don Julio Berdegue, who also built the country club and nine hole golf course. The golf course now contains 27 holes, nine of which were created by renowned golfer Lee Trevino. The course has expanded throughout the years.
