Hunt for Easter eggs
Just like Halloween would not be the same without trick or treating, Easter would not function properly without an Easter egg hunt. It is the Easter game kids adore the most (for obvious, chocolatey reasons), out of all the possibilities. Make a plan and place a large order for chocolate eggs. Make a map of the location where you plan to bury the treasure and put some devious clues. Purchase one of our Easter egg hunt kits if you do not want to start from scratch. Additionally, we have created a useful blog with lots of advice, ideas, and tips for planning the best Easter egg hunt possible.
Creating Bonnets
The Christian origins of Easter give rise to the custom of wearing bonnets, which is now customary in homes, schools, and nurseries. Little ones can use their creativity to create something they will want to wear throughout the Easter holiday by making Easter bonnets. To assemble, simply cut a colorful card band to fit around your childs head, attach the ends with glue or staples, then add a card lid and brim. If you wanted to keep things easy, you could just make the band out of rabbit ears and disregard the brim and lid! They can then embellish it to their heart content with chicks, eggs, and flowers.
Painting Eggs
Egg painting is one of the main Easter activities that is appropriate for children of all ages. Like an Easter egg hunt, it may require assistance to set up and may result in some mess, but it will be well worth it. Either blow out or hard boil the eggs before beginning the artistic process, and then decorate them with acrylic or water colour paints. For block colours, use thick brushes; for details, use small brushes. Alternatively, you might use a mixture of food dye and vinegar to dye them, then decorate them with feathers, glitter, and stickers after colouring them with permanent markers or crayons. Our Hop Over the Rainbow egg decorating kits include stickers to give you a good start.
Games with a rabbit theme
What about changing some well-known childrens party activities to fit the Easter theme? Consider having your kids create a large poster of the Easter bunny and then have them play "pin the tail on the bunny." Easter music can be played when passing the parcel, and "Easter Bunny says" is merely Simon Says with a hop!
Easter entertainment and games for the whole family ( Baking by Peter Rabbit )
Has Junior Bake Off inspired any of your children? Baking is one of the most satisfying Easter activity ideas. You can do it over Zoom with grandparents and other family members that you when not be able to spend Easter weekend with. A delightful idea for this time of year is a bake with a Peter Rabbit and Friends theme. Use our Peter Rabbit cupcake kit to create adorable cupcakes. Additionally, Peter Rabbit biscuit cutters will provide a wonderful touch to your childrens Easter tea party. This Peter Rabbit tableware will be the perfect finishing touch, and they will love tasting the cakes and biscuits they helped make from home.
Rolling Eggs
A competitive take on an Easter tradition! The American version of this activity, which has kids (and large kids) pushing eggs towards a finish line with a long-handled spoon, is worth trying out instead of the traditional British version, which has participants rolling eggs down a grassy hill.
Race With an Egg And Spoon
If you are not in the mood to roll eggs, try the age-old sports day tradition of the egg and spoon race. People of all ages can play this beloved game. Will you use a cautious, steady approach or a hasty, frenzied one? In our opinion, the latter is typically the more likely to succeed. And watch out for thumbs that are deceiving by holding eggs in place!
Games
Are you feeling tempted to engage in more friendly, or not so friendly, family competition after playing these egg racing games? During your "at home" celebrations, adults and kids can enjoy a variety of Easter activities. Playing croquet may appear refined, but if you give the youngsters any chance, they will enjoy smashing your ball as far away from the hoops as they can.
Tree of Easter
Easter tree decorating is a family custom that originated in us and is currently becoming more and more popular in the USA. Horticulture
It is the perfect time of year to spend time in the garden with each other during the glorious springtime. To get everything in order, take the kids to the garden center and let them choose some blooms. Then, spend a couple of afternoons planting your new flowers, pulling weeds, and tidying up the area.
